Freemasonry is not something entered lightly. If you are reaching out, we assume a genuine interest in understanding the work and what it requires.
This page is intended for:
Individuals interested in joining Freemasonry
Freemasons seeking a different approach to their work
Groups interested in forming a lodge
If your interest is sincere, you are welcome to proceed.
After submitting your inquiry:
You will be contacted by a member of the Grand Orient of California or a local lodge
You may be invited to a conversation or informal meeting
You will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more
This process is intended to be gradual and thoughtful.
Membership in Freemasonry carries both rights and responsibilities. To be considered, individuals must:
be at least 18 years of age
uphold the principles of the Order
participate in the life of the lodge
contribute to its work and development
maintain conduct becoming a Freemason
Freemasonry is not passive, it requires engagement, reflection, and consistency.
We do not require belief, nor do we define individuals by background or identity. We are interested in sincerity, curiosity, and a willingness to engage in meaningful work. The initiatic path is progressive and requires active participation over time.
For those interested in forming a lodge:
The process begins with a Masonic triangle, develops into a provisional lodge, and may ultimately become a chartered lodge upon meeting the requirements of the Grand Orient of California.
This work requires commitment, organization, and sustained effort over time.
Please complete the form below. Provide clear and thoughtful responses so we may better understand your interest and direct your inquiry appropriately.
Not all inquiries lead immediately to membership. The process is intended to ensure alignment, understanding, and readiness on both sides.
