The Grand Orient of California supports the formation of new Masonic lodges where there is a sincere interest in establishing Freemasonry grounded in freedom of conscience and shared principles.
The process typically begins with a Masonic triangle, through which a small group of individuals organizes its work and develops its foundation. From there, it may receive a dispensation to work as a provisional lodge to continue its development toward becoming a chartered lodge.
Throughout this process, the Grand Orient of California provides structure, guidance, and recognition in accordance with its principles.
